Mr O. McGill, rider of Ocean Of Dreams, trained by Gary McGill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped very novicey.
387B Mercedes Benz South Dublin H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lambay Island, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
E. Staples, rider of Rockstown Girl, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by a faller and was pulled up.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the riders first approach to the starter at the start of this race where it appeared that A.M. King, rider of Cornmarket had put his horse into a trot or canter before being instructed to do so. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. M. King was in breach of Rule 208 (iii) (b) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended A. M. King for one raceday.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the riders second approach to the starter at the start of this race involving Ivybrook (FR), ridden by L.A. McKenna, Lambay Island, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, His Nibs, ridden by K.E Buckley, Petit King (FR), ridden by E. Walsh, Cornmarket, ridden by A.M. King, Person Of Interest, ridden by G. Brouder, and Accustomed, ridden by H. E. Sexton where it appeared that several horses were put into a trot or canter before being instructed to do so. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G. Brouder was in breach of Rule 208 (iii) (b) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended G. Brouder for two racedays.
387C Ballymaloe Relish Beginners S'chaseK.M. Donoghue, rider of Soldier In Milan, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Soldier In Milan trained by Emmet Mullins was clinically abnormal post race.
B. Hayes, rider of Karl Des Tourelles (FR), trained by Philip Fenton, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had no more to give and was eased close home. Having viewed a recording and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
387D Christmas H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballyburn, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
387E Savills S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Inothewayurthinkin, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the fall of Champ Kiely, ridden by H. Cobden after the fourth fence. Having considered the matter and viewed a recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by Champ Kiely clipping the heel of the horse in front and that no further action was warranted.
387F Pertemps Network H'cap H'dle (Qualifier)The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Duke Silver, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Joseph Patrick O'Brien stated that his charge was too keen when ridden handily last time out and being ridden more patiently today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
387G Forest Fest INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Figero, ridden by Mr C. Mullins, unplaced, Lemmy Caution (FR), ridden by Mr J.H. Williamson, placed third, Any News For Me, ridden by Mr B.M. Coonan, unplaced, and Rush Slowly, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh, unplaced, where it appeared Any News For Me and Rush Slowly ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr C. Mullins stated that he received contact from the horse on his outer forcing him into the horses on his inside. Mr J. H. Williamson stated that it was general bunching and added that there was not room for the horse on his inside to go for the gap. He further added that he felt that the two horses in front of him had contyributed to the incident. Mr B. M. Coonan stated that he got squeezed from his outside forcing him to take back. Mr S. Cavanagh stated that he received pressure from his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr J. H. Williamson was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (third offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr J. H. Williamson for eight racedays.
